Rev. Efretuei Uyah Akaduh

International President, ETINOSA

Rev. Efretuei Uyah Akaduh is a professional graphic artist, designer, educator, and Reverend Minister of Methodist Church Nigeria. He holds degrees in Fine/Industrial Arts, Education, and Ministry from the Universities of Uyo and Port Harcourt and Methodist Theological Institute, Umuahia.A long standing ETINOSA leader, he has served as Assistant Secretary, Secretary General, and Vice President, and currently serves as International President (2024-present). Under his leadership, ETINOSA has strengthened alumni unity, advocated for the revitalization of Etinan Institute, and delivered key infrastructure improvements, including renovations and solar lighting.His vision is to secure the school's future through comprehensive rebuilding, improved security, digitalization, and a global endowment fund. He is married to Mrs. Victoria Efretuei Akaduh and blessed with five children. He enjoys creativity, singing, cooking, and teaching.

Dcn. Victor Otu Bassey

Vice President, ETINOSA

Born on 17 February 1971 in Abasi Akara, Uyo, Deacon Victor Otu Bassey is an astute administrator, industrial safety professional, and dedicated Christian leader. An alumnus of Etinan Institute (Class of 1991), he studied at the University of Uyo, where he also held several student leadership positions and distinguished himself in football.His professional journey spans education, national service, census administration, and industrial safety and security. He has also undergone extensive training in career development and human resource management and was honoured as a Peace Ambassador.A committed member of Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, Deacon Bassey has served in numerous leadership positions for over two decades, including Men's Fellowship President, Sectional Men's President, and currently Church Financial Secretary.Within ETINOSA, he serves as Vice President, ETINOSA International, and Class Captain, Set of 1991. He is married to an Etinan lady and blessed with three children.

Mrs. Etimbuk Effiok Charles

General Secretary, ETINOSA

Etimbuk was born into the family of late Elder Effiong Iwok Okpon and late Deaconess May Effiong Okpon of Ikod Ntan Nsit in Nsit Ibom LGA. Akwa Ibom State.She got married to Elder Effiok Charles of Ikot Ebo in Etinan LGA. The union is blessed with 3 lovely children.She loves singing, dancing and creativity.

Mr. Akaninyene Cyrinus Udonsa

Assistant Secretary, ETINOSA

Akaninyene Cyrinus Udonsa class of 1999 is an experienced Researcher with a bachelor of Arts' degree in Theatre Arts. He has demonstrated history of working in the industry, skilled in survey management having worked with organisations such as HC3, CRERD, AHEAD, Viable Masters, Akena Associates, EFInA, CAFSANI, PSI, IPSOS, NBS, DSN, RDS, VIISAUS, eHealth Africa, Edvo Impact, Data-Lead Africa, Afri-cird, VisualICT, FANTIEN, Pierrine, Open Retail, Glopat, Data-Fi, Data Insight, MSH, Pelton Global etc.Akaninyene Udonsa has a strong track record in providing technical support, conducting data quality assessments, and providing solutions to on-field challenges in market and social research and Reproductive health.Akaninyene Udonsa is happily married with three kids (two boys and a girl). He loves playing and watching football, playing table tennis, travelling, hiking and adventures and keeping relationships. He keeps the philosophy of live and lets live.

Mr. Akan Ekpenyong

Publicity Secretary, ETINOSA

Akan Ekpenyong hails from Ikot Abasi Nsit, Nsit Ibom LGA, Akwa Ibom State. His passion for music and the performing arts was nurtured at Etinan Institute, where he was an active member of the Dramatic Club, developing his talents in acting, stagecraft, and storytelling.He later studied Theatre Arts at the University of Uyo and founded Treasure House Music and Films International, a production outfit known for award-winning indigenous films and creative content celebrating Akwa Ibom culture and heritage.Beyond the creative arts, Akan is passionate about public service and community development. He has ventured into politics, aspiring to contribute to the growth and development of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria through leadership rooted in service, integrity, and opportunity.

Mrs. Itorobong Joshua

Treasurer, ETINOSA

Mrs. Itorobong Edem Joshua, born into the family of Late Rev. E. J. Udo of Afaha Idoro in Uyo Local Government Area, born on 10th of August. She works in a nursery school in Uyo as an administrative secretary.Being an active member of Etinan Institute Old Student Association, she had served as a secretary of the association for two terms and presently serves as the international treasurer from 2024 till date. She is a good mixer, likes cooking, travelling, watching movies and sports. She loves Etinan Institute with a great passion.

Mr. Andikan Ime John

Director of Welfare, ETINOSA

Andikan Ime John was born on 5 May 1988 into the family of Late Ime John Timothy. He attended Etinan Institute, Etinan, from 2000 to 2006, and later earned a Second Class Upper degree in Physical Oceanography from the University of Calabar in 2014.A proud member of the 2006 OSETINET set, he served as its pioneer Vice President. He currently serves as Director of Welfare, ETINOSA, contributing to the wellbeing and unity of the association and its members.

Engr. Nelson Mmianekere

Chairman, Board of Trustees, ETINOSA

Engr. Nelson Mmianekere is a distinguished alumnus of Etinan Institute, Class of 1960. After completing his secondary education, he qualified as a Higher Elementary (HE) Teacher and returned to Etinan Institute as a teacher, contributing to the education and development of young people.He later built a distinguished career in the oil and gas industry, gaining extensive national and international experience as a Drilling Engineer. Following his retirement from formal service in 1999, he continued contributing to the Nigerian petroleum industry and was invited by the Akwa Ibom State Government to support the establishment of an indigenous oil company. He played a key role in establishing Universal Oil Company, which successfully bid for an oil asset and commenced operations at the Stubb Creek Oil Field, subsequently developing and producing oil from the field. His journey from teacher and alumnus to internationally experienced engineer and pioneer of indigenous oil exploration and production reflects professional excellence, perseverance, service, and commitment to Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.

Eno-Abasi Urua, Ph.D.

Eno-Abasi Urua, Ph.D. is a Distinguished Professor of Linguistics at the University of Uyo with over 40 years of teaching and research experience in Phonetics, Phonology, and Language Documentation. An alumna of Qua Iboe Mission Secondary School, she studied at the Universities of Calabar and Ibadan and was a Post Doctoral Fellow at Edinburgh, Visiting Research Scholar at London, and Alexander von Humboldt Scholar at Bielefeld, Germany.She has published widely, collaborated internationally on Nigerian language documentation, and coordinated the Nigerian arm of the DAAD funded project that established Nigeria’s first postgraduate programme in Language Documentation at the University of Uyo.Professor Urua has represented Nigeria at the CIPL since 2013, served two terms on the University of Uyo Governing Council (2011-2015), and is Secretary, ETINOSA Board of Trustees. A passionate advocate for, education, gender, girls, women and young people, she is also a counsellor and mentor. She enjoys reading, travelling, dancing and Scrabble, and is blessed with two daughters.

Prof. Christopher Nyong Ekong

Mmeber, Board of Trustees, ETINOSA

Prof. Christopher Nyong Ekong is a distinguished economist, academic and university administrator, and the 9th substantive Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo, a position he assumed in June 2026.Born on 25 October 1967, he holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Cross River State (now University of Uyo), an M.Sc. from the University of Port Harcourt and a Ph.D. from the University of Uyo. He joined the University of Uyo in 1993 and rose to the rank of Professor of Monetary and Development Economics.He has served as Head of Department, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Director of International Programmes, Director of the Distance Learning Centre and Chairman of the Committee of Deans. He has also served Akwa Ibom State as Commissioner and Chief Economic Adviser.

Prof. Enobong Ikpeme

Member, Board of Trustees, ETINOSA

Professor Enobong Ikpeme is a Professor of Paediatrics and Chief Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist with over 38 years of medical practice and 50+ academic publications. A graduate of the University of Ibadan, she has served as Dean, Provost, Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, and Head of Paediatrics at the University of Uyo, and is Chief Medical Director of Jeconiah Specialist Hospital, Uyo.A Fellow of the West African College of Physicians and Foundation Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Medicine, she has held several professional leadership roles and currently serves on the Board of Trustees, ETINOSA.

Chief Richard Chukwunenye Okafor

Member, Board of Trustees, ETINOSA

Chief Richard Chukwunenye Okafor is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, with a B.Sc. in Estate Management. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors & Valuers (FNIVS) and is registered by the Estate Surveyors & Valuers Registration Board.He began his career with R.C. Irving & Company Limited, a foreign estate management and development firm. In 1980, he established RCO Properties & Company, where he remains Principal Partner and Chief Executive Officer. A member of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) since 1977, he became President of its Nigerian Chapter in 2005. Under his presidency, the Nigerian Chapter was recognised in 2008 as “The Most Progressive and Active Chapter in the Whole World.”Chief Okafor has served on the boards of several notable organisations and companies across banking, logistics, real estate, industrial clothing, and aviation. He is a loving father and grandfather, an active tennis player and soccer fan.

Dr. Aniefon Akpabio, Ph.D, FCAI

Member, Board of Trustees, ETINOSA

Aniefon Akpabio is an indigene of Etinan and an alumnus of Etinan Institute, where he obtained his West African School Certificate in 1975. He holds degrees in Biological Sciences, Forest Resources Management, and a PhD in Wildlife Management.
He had a distinguished 35-year career in the Federal Public Service, retiring as a Director. He played pioneering roles in environmental protection and conservation through organisations including FEPA, NARESCON and NESREA, and represented Nigeria at various international engagements.A committed community leader, he pioneered several community associations and served in various leadership capacities. Since retiring and returning to Etinan, he has remained actively involved in community development and serves as an Elder and committee member in the Qua Iboe Church. Aniefon Akpabio is widely recognized for his contributions to environmental conservation, public service, community development and the advancement of his people.

Dr. Ally Austin Inyang, Ph.D.

Member, Board of Trustees, ETINOSA

Dr. Augustine “Ally” Inyang is a pharmacologist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from Adaha-Akpo, Etinan, Akwa Ibom State. He attended St. John’s U.N.A. Primary School, Etinan, and graduated from Etinan Institute in 1975. He earned a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Pharmacology & Therapeutics from the University of Ibadan (1980), followed by an M.Sc. (1982) and Ph.D. (1986) in Pharmacology. He began lecturing at the University of Calabar Medical School before undertaking research with INSERM U150 in Paris, Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute, and the University of California, San Diego.After serving in senior executive management at Lustre Bright Chemicals, Oklahoma City (1994–2004), he founded FHG Conglomerate in 2005. In 2012, he established Love Without Borders Foundation Inc., which provides free medical missions, scholarships, and support to families in Nigeria, and remains its President. Dr. Inyang serves on the boards of Vineyard International Church, Bronx, New York and Etinan Children’s Scholarship Foundation Inc. He is married and blessed with three children.

Prof. Imaobong David Akpan

Member, Board of Trustees, ETINOSA

Professor Imaobong David Akpan is a Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Uyo and an indigene of Uyo Village, Uyo LGA, Akwa Ibom State. An alumna of Qua Iboe Mission Secondary School, now Etinan Institute, she is a member of the Class of 1973. She holds a B.Ed. from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, an M.Ed. from the University of Port Harcourt, and a Ph.D. from the University of Calabar. With over four decades in teaching, research, and mentoring, she has made significant contributions to education and academic development.She is the Immediate Past Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Uyo, a registered teacher with TRCN, and a member of the Nigerian Academy of Education and other professional bodies.

Dr. Okon John Emah

Dr. Okon John Emah left Etinan Institute (QIMSS)in June 1973 with Grade one in WAESC. Worked briefly in Barclays Bank. Got into Unical in 1976 to read Zoology and got admitted into Medical School in 1978 graduated in 1983. Had residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Became Medical Director from 1991 till date . Had been in many posts, including president of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Honorable Commissioner of Commerce and Industry and Honorable Commissioner for Health in AKS. President of Uyo Chambers of Commerce , Industries Mines and Agriculture, president South South Chambers of Commerce ,Industries , Mines and Agriculture,National Vice President, Nigerian Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. He is Otuekong Iman Ibom, Emem Akwa Ibom and Ifiok Ibibio. Mkpisong Ibibio. A critical Stakeholder in Akwa Ibom State. An Elder in Qua Iboe Church International.

Engr. Essien Okon Ndon Emah

Member, ETINOSA

Engr. Essien Okon Ndon Emah, born on 1 December 1971, is an engineer, community leader, entrepreneur, and proud alumnus of Etinan Institute. He attended St. Theresa’s Primary School, Ikot Abasi, Etinan Institute, and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he studied Metallurgical Engineering.He served as International President of the Etinan Institute Old Students Association and played a key role in its revival and repositioning, reconnecting Old Students, rebuilding confidence, and strengthening the spirit of unity and collective responsibility towards the alma mater. He currently serves as President Emeritus, ETINOSA.Engr. Emah is the CEO of Esima Global Investments Ltd. He enjoys football, reading, and travelling and is blessed with two children.

Patrick Joseph Johnson

Member, ETINOSA

Patrick Joseph Johnson is a devoted Christian from Ikot Oku Nsit, Nsit Ibom LGA, and a proud alumnus of Etinan Institute and the University of Uyo, where he studied Zoology. He has over six decades of life experience and is a loving husband and father of three.He has built a diverse career spanning transport management, sales, project management, entrepreneurship, and building construction. He is Managing Director of Johnsonap Ventures Ltd and SIX-FOURTY FIVE GOLD and previously served as Project Officer for Family Life Enhancement Initiative.A Fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria, he has held several leadership positions, including President of ETINOSA, President of Uyo Metropolitan Lions Club, Zone Chairperson of Lions District 404A2, Nigeria, and President of Mboho Ndito Nsit, Nsit Ibom Chapter. He enjoys sports and travelling and remains committed to service and his Christian faith.

Rev. Sr. Clara T. Ikpe

Member, ETINOSA

Rev. Sr. Clara T. Ikpe CSMHC, Class of 81 is a native of Ikot Mfon in Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. A one time Assistant Secretary of ETINOSA
She is a Musicologist by profession, an experienced Music Educator, an Adjudicator at Music Competitions, a Resource person at Music Congress, director Musical performance and promoting excellence in musical talents and learning. She is currently an employee of the Federal Ministry of Education teaching Music at Federal Government College, Ikom in Cross River State, Nigeria.

Mr. Ekanabasi Ubong, Fcipm, Fipa.

Member, ETINOSA

Mr. Ekanabasi Ubong is a writer, public speaker, community leader, and Chartered Human Resource Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lagos and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Calabar.After a 35-year public service career, including service with the NYSC, he retired as a Permanent Secretary. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, where he served as State Branch Chair and Governing Council member, and a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administrators. With expertise in Learning and Development, he has led training programmes for government, private organisations, and educational institutions and provides HR advisory and consultancy services. He serves on the boards of five schools and supports others in recruitment and staff development.An active leader in his alumni associations, including ETINOSA, he is passionate about youth development, personal transformation, and community service. He writes poetry and is happily married.

Moses U. Oton

Member, ETINOSA

Moses Oton is Class of 1989 and a native of Okat in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. One time President Federated Onna Students of Nigeria (FOSON) Worldwide 2001 - 2002.Two term International President of ETINOSA 1915 January 2017 to January 2021. Moses Oton is a graduate of Animal Science University of Uyo and is into farming. He is a Choirmaster of over 30 years standing - Choral Conductor, Voice trainer. A good Compere (Master of Ceremony). Loves Reading, Traveling, Sporting. He is a Christian

Akparawa Ikpong Essien-Udom

Member, ETINOSA

Akparawa Ikpong Essien-Udom, a member of the 1974 Class and Class Prefect, was born on 26 October 1956 in Ikot Osong, Etinan LGA, Akwa Ibom State. He attended Etinan Institute (1970–1974) and holds an HND in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Calabar.A veteran journalist, he worked with The Nigerian Gong, NTA Channel 10 Port Harcourt and the Akwa Ibom Newspaper Corporation, rising to Editor-in-Chief and Acting General Manager. He was also Editor-in-Chief of Impact Magazine before retiring in 2016. He later founded The Telegram online newspaper.A founding member and former Secretary-General of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, he has served as Secretary of its Board of Trustees since 1992. He is also a former State Chairman of the NUJ, President of Uyo Club and International President of Etinan Institute Old Students Association.
